Hi all!
It has been a very busy week and a half with work (transferring to a new location), school, and the wrapping up of this month’s giveaway event. Even with a crazy schedule, I’ve managed to work in a new knitting project (with the help of caffeine and a couple of energy drinks, of course).
Several weeks ago, while going through my closet and getting out my fall/winter gear, I noticed that I don’t have many scarves. Yes, I know it doesn’t make any sense. How is it that a knitter like me not have many scarves? I don’t knit for myself very often. I usually give away my knitting projects to friends and loved ones.
So, with that in mind I came up with the idea of designing a skinny scarf for myself. Staying true to my impatient self I decided to make this skinny scarf a lace scarf as well. Because I used a lace pattern and chunky yarn, it only took me about two hours to finish 2/3 of it. This is what it is looking like so far:
I used a lace stitch pattern with super chunky yarn. |
I should be done with this in the next couple of days so I will be posting the pattern then. So stay tuned because this is a fun and fast one to knit.
I am very excited and I can not wait to where it around town 🙂
Would you mind sharing what brand yarn you used for this scarf? It is such a deep, rich color–love it!
Sure, wouldn’t mind it at all! It’s called Dewdrops from Loops and Threads. The color in this pattern is Amethyst. Here is the link: http://www.michaels.com/Loops-Threads%E2%84%A2-Dewdrops-Yarn/nw0498,default,pd.html?start=12&cgid=products-yarnandneedlecrafts-loopsandthreads
Thank you!
Have you used powder of white color on it?
Really it’s looking great.
