Parallelogram stitch is a stitch pattern that is done with a series of knit and purl stitches to produce the parallelogram shape. The parallelogram design is knitted with a stockinette background. The Parallelogram stitch looks complicated but is very simple to knit thus making it perfect for beginning knitters. Because of its large design, this stitch works well on blankets, throws and sweaters.
