Half Woven Herringbone Infinity Scarf

Half Woven Herringbone Infinity Scarf

Now that temperatures are lower, and we’re in the midst of knitting season, it’s time to unpack your sweaters and fall accessories. Better yet, why not knit yourself a brand new scarf to go with that cute autumn outfit you’ve been dreaming up in your head? And if you’re looking for a quick knit, perhaps one that you can whip up in a couple of days, this one might be for you. By the way, if you love the Herringbone stitch, you’ll love this scarf!

Knitted in the round using a stitch similar to the traditional Herringbone stitch, the Half Woven Herringbone Infinity Scarf features a gorgeous texture with i-cord detailing along its edges. The scarf is not incredibly long, measuring approximately 50 inches around and wrapping only twice around the neck, making it perfect for those looking for a stylish yet, not bulky pattern.

As for the yarn, I decided to go with Yarnspirations Bernat Fluffee. I love the softness of the yarn, however, I consider this to be a roving yarn, which has no ply. It can be somewhat difficult to knit with and can be easily felted after usage or washing. However, if felting is not an issue, then I suggest sticking with this yarn because its softness is so worth it. Ready to get started? I’ve included the materials and gauge information below. Also, if you need help with knitting the i-cord, be sure to view the video tutorial is below. As for the pattern, you can access the free PDF file on the new Pattern Street app (sign up is free).
