Woven cable stitch is a popular knitting stitch pattern at Purl Avenue. The woven cable stitch was used in my Woven Cable Coffee Cup Sleeve.  Now you too can create projects with this gorgeous stitch pattern.

Pattern

Skill: intermediate
Multiple of 8 sts + 4

ROW 1: knit.
ROW 2 and every alternate row: K2, purl to last 2 sts, K2.
ROW 3: knit.
ROW 5: K2, *C8B; rep from * to last 2 sts, K2.
ROW 7: knit.
ROW 9: knit.
ROW 11: K6, *C8F; rep from * to last 6 sts, K6.
ROW 12: repeat ROW 2.

Repeat ROWS 1-12.
