2021 Spring Giveaway

Hello knitters!

It has been a long while since the last time I held a giveaway. Over the years, it’s become a tradition to introduce giveaways on my birthday but this year, I’m doing things a little differently. We all can agree that the last year or so has been tough but with 2021 in full swing and with the roll out of vaccines, a more promising year lies ahead.

Yet, while we wait for things to get back to semi-normalcy, let’s all retreat to our happy places, whether that be indulging ourselves in our hobbies (i.e. knitting or  baking) , washing away stress through our connection to mother nature (gardening, hiking, etc.) or through public service (volunteering). I know for me, it’s these simple activities that have gotten me through the toughest of times. 

While retreating to my happy place at a local yarn shop last week, I came across a section of the store which displayed yarns in several gorgeous colorways. As I examined the various beautiful colors, one colorway caught my eye. Being captivated by its beauty, I took in its cool tones with its hints of purples and oranges. 

These colors took me to a forest that was both whimsical and mystical. I envisioned a place being enveloped by green leaves that were caressed by morning dew. As I looked down the trail that was lightly lined with soft moss, I saw rays of morning light gently streaming through the trees. I took a breath and said to myself, “Yes, this is it.”

Okay, you might think, “Wow, that’s a lot for just a hank of yarn.” Haha. For some, this might sound strange, but for those who get it, they know that these tiny moments of happiness are crucial to our overall mental well-being. 

With that being said, I’ve decided to share my little piece of happiness with you! Please allow me to introduce you to Reward by Invictus Yarns. This colorway is called Brother Cadfael’s Garden. Spun with 80% superwash merino wool and 20% silk, this fingering weight yarn is incredibly soft and yet has a fun bounce in its make-up.
