Last week in the Purl Avenue newsletter, I included information about Knit Picks’ collaboration with Knitted Knockers, a non-profit organization that provides knitted and crocheted breast prostheses for women who have undergone mastectomies or lumpectomies. Today, I happened to stumble across this article on UCHealth Today, highlighting the inspirational stories behind a few breast cancer survivors and their contribution to the breast cancer community through Knitted Knockers.
I, like many others around the world, have family members or know of someone who’ve had breast cancer. So, if you would like to pitch in and join the cause, you can check out this collaboration with Knit Picks or visit Knitted Knockers’ website. I’ve also included the prosthetics pattern on the Pattern Street app.
