Hi knitters!
Spring is around the corner and cherry blossom season is on the way! To usher in the new season, I’m making my Knitted Cherry Blossom pattern available for download. This pattern was previously only available for Purl Avenue members, however, starting today, all Purl Avenue visitors can now download it for free on the Pattern Street app. Alternative pattern access is by making a purchase through Etsy where the PDF download completely ad-free.
The Knitted Cherry Blossoms come in two sizes. This pattern includes only the large size, however, I will make the small size available in a few weeks.

Whether you’re looking to create a unique throw pillow accent, a wall hanging, or a bold floral embellishment for a chunky cardigan, this pattern is designed to be both a relaxing knit and a stunning finished piece. Other usage ideas include: Pin it to a hat, string several together to make a garland, attach several to stems made from wire for a bouquet, attach to gift boxes to make your gifts extra personal.

Knitting Abbreviations
CO: Cast On
K: Knit
P: Purl
k3tog (knit 3 together): insert the right-hand needle into the first three stitches on the left-hand needle and wrap the working yarn around the right-hand needle as if you would for a knit stitch. Pull the yarn through the both stitch and slide both stitches off the left-hand needle. You have now knitted three stitches together.
m1 (make 1): with the left-hand needle, pick up the strand of yarn lying between the last st worked and the next st and knit into the back of it.
sl1 (slip 1): slip the next stitch onto the right-hand needle without knitting it.
sk2p (slip, knit 2, pass slipped stitch over): slip the next st onto the right-hand needle. Knit the next 2 sts together, then pass the slipped st over the k2tog st.
