It is spring and that means, farmers market season! And what’s the best accessory to go with your weekly trip to the market? A market bag! If you follow me on the Pattern Street app, you know that I’ve been working on this market bag in the past several weeks. Now, I’m happy to announce the finished product.
Knitted with cotton yarn with specks of color, this market bag is not only fun –both to look at and to knit–it’s also practical and easy to care for. With it being knitted using cotton, it is machine washable, allowing for fuss-free easy care.

Its size is generous, allowing for extra space for all of your farmers market haul. Designed with long handles for over-the-should comfort while its mesh and stockinette stitch design lends itself to a classic yet, durable structure.

yo (yarn over): wrap the yarn around the right-hand needle from back to front counterclockwise before knitting the next stitch. Then work the next stitch as normal.
