The Feather and Fan in the round stitch is the popular Feather and Fan lace stitch that’s been modified for circular knitting. This stitch looks exactly like the name suggests, like a combination of feathers and fans lined up side-by-side throughout the work. Even though it is rated intermediate, because most of the rounds are either all knits or purl stitches, the pattern is easy to remember and is not as difficult as it appears. Multiple of 18 sts
Rd1 (RS): knit.
Rd 2: knit.
Rd 3: *(k2tog)x3, (yo, k1)x6, (k2tog)x3; rep from * to the end.
Rd 4: purl.
Repeat Rows 1-4.
Abbreviations:
K2TOG (Knit 2 Together)
Insert the right-hand needle into the first two stitches on the left-hand needle and wrap the working yarn around the right-hand needle as if you would for a knit stitch. Pull the yarn through both stitches and slide both stitches off the left-hand needle. You have now knitted two stitches together, thus resulting in a right-leaning decrease.

(yarn over)=wrap the yarn around the right-hand needle from back to front counterclockwise before knitting the next stitch. Then work the next stitch as normal.
